Inspiration for an 'English Cottage Goes Coastal' Primary Suite

You may have seen some of these sneak peek photos of a Tudor style home nestled in the coastal hills of California on our Instagram stories. Today we're sharing some of our design boards for a fun look at a style that we don't normally have the chance to dive into!

This primary suite is going to be soooo dreamy - thinks lots of custom millwork, polished nickel, and desaturated colors throughout. Gray greens, creamy whites, and warm wood tones dominate these boards, and I am here for it!

This primary suite was an add on years ago, and didn't truly honor the Tudor style architecture of the home, so we're trying to get the interior to match the architecture and feel more cohesive with the rest of the home.

I'm excited to explore more traditional styles than we typically do, in harmony with our coastal flair since we are in a beach city!

We are planning a similar detail for the backsplash above the vanity, and the team is so excited to see this come to life!

This cozy nook will be a beautiful place to play with texture, more millwork, and fun lighting that speaks to the English cottage feel of the home.

I'm very jealous that they have space for a kitchenette (just think morning coffee steps away from bed?!), but it will be hidden behind beautiful cabinets to keep the space clutter free.

We can't forget the deck to soak in the California sun (not this week for sure, but most of the time). A small counter table and lounge seating with light colored fabrics and textured elements will be beautiful up here!

Stay tuned as we work through the design process with this lovely client!
