A Trip Down Memory Lane (& Europe)

I was reminiscing yesterday about the last time I had been on a plane.

My design assistant and I are now working on a new project in Connecticut, and it's literally one year to the day that Brian and I boarded a plane to visit London and Paris for my birthday. We had NO idea what was going to happen two months later, but we had promised to each other that we would do a trip like that every year around this time because of work schedules, my well timed birthday, and off season pricing for many great vacation cities/resorts all over the world.

I'm thrilled to be working with this new client and visiting a new area, and since we'll be busy running around collecting measurements and taking meetings, I thought I'd share some photos from our trip last year to satiate my wanderlust (and maybe yours too?!)

My architecture loving heart was bursting walking through all of this history - from columns to facades and buttresses, to the majesty of the Eiffel Tower. The sheer scale of EVERYTHING is enough to take your breath away! I'm counting down the days until we can visit incredible places like this again, but thank you for indulging me this week! Have you ever been to London or Paris? What was your favorite part of either city? Let me know in the comments below, but au revoir for now! We'll have much to catch up on when we're back in California!
